SHANNON LIEBEL

E-RYT 500, YACEP®, FRCms, MA, Owner

Shannon strongly believes in the connection between mind, body, and soul, and this reflects in her Vinyasa style teaching. In her youth, she was an elite level gymnast, and received her MA in Counseling. When she discovered yoga in 2005, it was the perfect balance of the mental work she enjoyed in Psychology and the physical movement of the body that she loved in gymnastics. Shannon received her RYT 200 with Yax Yoga Concepts in 2012 and began teaching right away, and then opened her studio in Lake Tahoe in 2016. Nine months after the studio opened, Shannon had open heart surgery and this experience only strengthened her belief in the power of yoga. In 2018, she furthered her education and trained in Thailand with Beyond Bryce to receive her RYT 500, and also received her FRCms with Functional Anatomy seminars later that year. She teaches daily classes, facilitates workshops and yoga teacher trainings, runs international yoga retreats, and teaches at a variety of yoga festivals in the US.

HAILEY METZLER

RYT 200

Hailey moved from a small town in the Central Valley of California to Reno, Nevada in the Fall of 2012 to begin her journey at the University of Nevada. She received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and began teaching right away. While working as an educator, Hailey began going to school in the evening and graduated from the University of Nevada once again with her MBA in the summer of 2019. After getting her dream job at Zephyr Cove Elementary, Hailey found a gem of a yoga studio that not only allowed her to practice in a comfortable environment, but also gave her a community and a new place to call home. After starting her yoga journey in Hot Yoga, Still Water Yoga showed her new avenues such as Vinyasa and she quickly fell in love with the practice. Hailey began Yoga Teacher Training at Still Water Yoga under the amazing teacher Shannon Liebel and graduated as an RYT 200 in June 2020.

SUE SPENCER

RYT 200

Sue's love of the mountains brought her to South Lake Tahoe in 2016 from the bay area, now a retired nurse of 39 years, it was time to seek other passions. Sue's new focus is with the importance of our health, our vitality and longevity. This led her to a 'whole food plant based' certified health coaching program so,  her first focus will be to share healthy mindful eating by loving the foods that love you back!

Sue believes daily movement of our bodies is also connected with mindful eating that leads us to longevity, this brought her to a second focus by taking Shannon's 200 hour teaching program, and recently graduated in May 2023. Sue feels a strong community spirit here in Tahoe and is excited to be stepping into the yoga world of teaching.

COBY JONES

RYT 200

After several years cultivating a personal practice of Vinyasa yoga, Coby took the next step and received his RYT 200 accreditation studying under Shannon Liebel at Still Water Yoga Lake Tahoe. What was once just an opportunity to lengthen and strengthen the body for him, his yoga practice has also become a mindfulness and meditation practice that can know no bounds. As a true avid daily practitioner he takes pride and honors the opportunity to hold space and share knowledge with fellow yogis in his more active style of Vinyasa Flow classes. Coby plans to actively continue his journey on the yogic path and find awareness and alignment of the self, gaining more knowledge of the mind, body, and soul to share ideals of peace and love with those surrounding him.

In July 2019 Kelly enrolled in Teacher Training at Still Water Yoga, receiving her RYT 200.
